“My Medicine” is a song by American rapper Snoop Dogg featuring Willie Nelson and Everlast, taken from Snoop Dogg’s ninth studio album Ego Trippin’. It is produced by Everlast, was released on June 14, 2008, as the fourth single from the album. The story of how the collaboration came to be is well-known. Snoop asked Nelson if he wanted to be on the track. Nelson said that instead of sending material over, Snoop should just come join him in Amsterdam, where he was set to perform on 4/20. Snoop, 41, said his focus on health comes from his desire to remain competitive and relevant to a genre that’s largely focused on youth.
“Wellness” means taking care of yourself and making sure that you stay on top of the game, says Snoop. As I get older, I’m realizing how important balance and sleep are to staying focused and energized. Getting a decent amount of sleep, listening to good music cuz it’s good for the soul.
